Microsoft has recommended for users to wait until their notified when their upgrade is finally ready to be installed. • Open the Registry Editor and navigate to the registry key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionWindowsUpdateOSUpgrade]
  • If you’re unable to find the key, you’ll have to create it yourself.
  • Within the key, you’ll need to create a new 32-bit DWORD with the name AllowOSUpgrade and set its value to 0x00000001.

Once you are done editing the registry, exit the editor and open the Control Panel. Navigate to Windows Update and press the Check for Updates button.
