Lets begin with Firefox:

Step 1 - Run Mozilla Firefox and open the drop-down menu window.
Step 2 - Choose the “Add-ons” icon.
Step 3 - Mark the questionable add-on and then click Remove.
After the add-on is uninstalled, close Mozilla and start it again.

Now for Chrome:
Step 1 - Run Google Chrome and open the drop down menu.
Step 2 - Drag your mouse over Tools and after that from the extended menu select Extensions.
Step 3 - From the Extensions menu locate the extension you want to remove and click on the garbage icon on its right.
After the questionable extension is removed, close Google Chrome and open it again.

For Internet Explorer:

Step 1 – Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools.
Step 2 – From the drop-down menu select ‘Manage Add-ons’
Step 3 – Look for the setting ‘All add-ons’ in ‘Show’ of the first window – Add-on Types.
Step 4 – Select the add-on you want gone and click ‘Disable’. A window will appear asking for confirmation. Tick all boxes and confirm.
After that restart IE and you should be fine.

I want to add a guide for Opera, as it is also considered among the top, most used browsers in the world.  :)

For Opera users:
  • Start the Opera browser.
  • Click on the "Opera" tab menu located at the top left corner.
  • From the menu, select "Extensions" and from the sub-menu, click on "Extensions manager".
  • On the new window, select "All" and click the X button, on the top right corner of an extension to remove it.
Afterwards, reset Opera to complete the process.
