How To Reset Your Browser Without Having to Reinstall It
« on: September 30, 2015, 01:30:44 pm »
Hello, here is the most simple tutorial on how to reset Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Internet Explorer without having to reinstall them:

For Google Chrome
Step 1

Right-click on the Chrome icon in your taskbar and then click on ‘New Incognito Window’. This will disable any webpages running on startup.
Step 2

In the address bar type chrome://settings/resetProfileSettings and click on ‘Reset’.
For Mozilla Firefox
Step 1

Open Mozilla Firefox by right-clicking on its icon in the taskbar and clicking New Private Window.
Step 2

In the address bar type about:support. Then click on ‘Refresh Firefox’ and accept the prompt from Firefox to save your old data on your desktop so you can easily access it.
For Internet Explorer
Step 1

Right-click on the Internet Explorer icon in your taskbar and click on Start In-Private Browsing.
Step 2

Click on the gear leaver icon in the top right and from the drop-down menu click on Internet Options.
Step 3

Go to the Advanced Tab and then click on the ‘Reset’ button.
For Safari
Step 1

Open Safari and click on the gear leaver icon.
Step 2

From the drop-down menu click on the Reset Safari button and you should be fine.

PS: Make sure you remember your passwords and write them down somewhere before doing that :)

@Tabeer it appears that you may have modified registries and possibly some other unwanted files on your comptuter. In order to find them, you need to scan your computer.

Here is more information how to do it:

Remove Malware From Your PC Completely

Bear in mind that the topic is for Windows 10 but it may also be relevant with Windows 8 and 8.1. For older versions of Windows simply press F8 while restarting your computer in order to get into Safe Mode.(I am referring to the first part of the instructions).

Best Regards,
Never

@Tabeer - this might have to do with the "NewFolder.exe" malware we discussed, and sounds more and more like something tampering with registries and one you should remove.

I have replied to the topic where you asked for the malware. Try the things I have written and I hope that yields results.

With Regards,
Execute
