Um e-mail malicioso afirmando ser a partir do Windows Outlook usuários Informa mensagens sobre a infecção caixa de correio com o vírus C93.
The email is supposed to scare the receiver and lure him into following the link that will provide him with the tool needed to check the message database. The promoted tool is a fake Norton AV security scanner which is supposed to remove any kind of malware, like Trojans and other bugs from the compromised mailbox.
Even users who have zero technical knowledge can see that the message is, de fato, uma farsa. Windows Outlook team does not exist. And even if there were one, it would probably promote a Microsoft tool in the alert email.
In case the user follows the link provided in the message, he’d be directed to a phishing website designed to look like a Microsoft Account log-in page. As the user signs in, the data typed in the text fields would be sent to the hackers. The user is then redirected to the real Microsoft log-on page. The page switch may remain unnoticed by the users who fell for the scam.
The Microsoft account is used for many services offered by Redmond. It is also used to access computer running Windows 8.
