Interrompe Serviço Microsoft metadados no do Windows 7 Media Player

Os investigadores que seguem de perto os movimentos da Microsoft ter notado um novo documento de apoio que, pelo visto, foi discretamente publicado. O documento diz que a empresa está abandonando um recurso utilizado no Windows Media Center e Windows Media Player.

Users No Longer Able to Vie Metadata in Windows Media Player, Media Center

Mais especificamente, the company is retiring the ability to view information in Windows Media Player particularly on Windows 7 máquinas, and Windows Media Center on Windows 7 e Windows 8, 8.1. Contudo, Windows Media Player remains intact on Windows 10. Is this a coincidence, or rather а well-thoughт move that aims to switch more users to Windows 10?

It appears that the change will leave users unable to view information like the title, genre and artist for songs and movies in both the Media Center and the Media Player.

After looking at customer feedback and usage data, Microsoft decided to discontinue this service. This means that new metadata won’t be updated on media players that are installed on your Windows device. Contudo, any information that’s already been downloaded will still be available, Microsoft said in the “quietly published” documento.

It’s also worth mentioning that the change won’t affect any major media player functionalities such as playback, navigating collections, media streaming, etc. Only secondary features that require downloading of new metadata are potentially affected, the company claims.

Contudo, some people feel that Microsoft could have left the feature until the end of Window 7’s official support, and thus the change can be seen as manipulative.

[wplinkpreview url =””https://sensorstechforum.com/windows-7-security-updates-become-paid-2020/”]Microsoft recently announced that it is planning to extend the support of the operating system Windows 7. The extended support ends on the 14th of January, 2020. But after Windows 7 runs out of support, Microsoft promises to offer paid services for users who choose to continue using the operating system.
