Pelo visto, empresa um americano, 32M, is now offering chips to employees willing to get the implant in their bodies. The novelty is voluntary and is about to be initiated on August 1.

American Company Now Offering RFID Chips to Employees

Segundo a empresa, the RFID chips will come in handy when employees want to “make purchases in their break room micro market, open doors, login to computers, use the copy machine” and similar work-related activities. Para agora, 32M is expecting more than 50 staff members to take part in the implant procedure.

We foresee the use of RFID technology to drive everything from making purchases in our office micro markets, opening doors, use of copy machines, logging into our office computers, unlocking phones, sharing business cards, storing medical/health information, and used as payment at other RFID terminals,” 32M CEO Todd Westby recently said. The technology is expected to become standardized meaning that it could (vai?) be used as a passport, public transit, purchasing, etc.

More about the RFID Technology

RFID, Radio-Frequency Identification or chip technology for short uses electromagnetic fields in order to identify information which is stored electronically. The technology is becoming more popular, and it’s not much different than the technology used in contactless credit cards and mobile payments, Especialistas dizem. Não obstante, having this technology directly implemented in your body still appears contentious, with the chip going between the thumb and forefinger underneath the skin in seconds.

These RFID chips activate when in contact with another chip to transfer small pieces of data between each other. The technology needs very little power, and it’s neither the first nor the last time it’s being implemented for identification. De fato, for many people chips naturally come as the next step in the development of technology in our daily lives. Para os outros, Contudo, this is a real privacy nightmare.

32M has partnered with Swedish biohacking firm BioHax International.
