MyNewsWire.co – Information

Search.MyNewsWire.co is the search engine of the browser hijacker called MyNewsWire. The search engine is the sub-domain of the MyNewsWire.co website. The hijacker is presented as a tool that spreads news offering quick access to them via its toolbar. But those will redirect you and sometimes go through more than one site pushing ads before showing you a news article.

When the hijacker is on your computer, you might witness lots of redirects, and that could potentially slow your browsers. Your settings will be modified by the undesired program. All your browsers can get their new tab, homepage, search engine, and other settings changed. The software application is developed by the company SaferBrowser. They have made heaps of browser hijackers until this day and continue making them. You can see this list of articles about SaferBrowser’s hijackers on our site.

This is how the search engine looks like:

STF-mynewswire-co-my-news-wire-search-page-saferbrowser-safer-browser

A browser extension or a plug-in could set in your browser applications and tamper with their settings, like the homepage, new tab, search, toolbar, theme, etc. Additional components like these extensions primarily come from bundled programs and get on your computer with the installation. Thus, you might see redirects upon browsing and information to be sent from them to the servers of Search.MyNewsWire.co, and possibly its partners and affiliates.

The extension can do the following:

  • Read and change all your data on the websites you visit
  • Manage your apps, extensions, and themes

If Search.MyNewsWire.co is on your computer and affecting your browsers, you might experience slowdowns. On top of that, you get redirected and could be confused by the newly-changed browser settings. Your search results will be filtered by the search engine of the hijacker and information about you and your computer to be acquired. It is common for misleading and sponsored content to show up in the search results and in websites you browse. Adverts could pop-up as in-text links, pop-unders or some other type of advertising.

From the snapshot above, you can view the search results page of the Search.MyNewsWire.co search engine, and how you are redirected to another search engine’s search results. You can see Yahoo very often, but other times, other reputable search engines can show as well. The queries and searches you do through the modified search page will be filtered by this hijacker, so be wary about what you type. Read further and find out what information could be gathered from you and in what ways.

MyNewsWire.co – Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy of Search.MyNewsWire.co openly states that information, that is both personally and non-personally identifying can be collected by the hijacker. The SaferBrowser company has kept the same policy since January 2015 for almost every application it has. All information, which is acquired may also be disclosed to third party partners and affiliates.

The Policy states that the following information can be obtained from you:
