30tab.com – How Does It Spread

The main method which is used by 30tab.com software may be via software bundling, which is the most common technique that is used by browser hijackers nowadays. Such bundling techniques are often used in order to make it possible for the program to be included along with the installers of other free programs you tend to download online, such as your favorite media player, torrent downloader and other. Usually the installation prompt for the 30tab.com does not advertise it like the software it actually is, but describes as being added as a free extra to the current installation you are performed. And the untick option of this is also concealed quite well – in the “Advanced” or “Custom” installation option in the setup you are performing.

In addition to via bundling the 30tab.com may also come automatically on your computer if it has been previously infected with malware that force-downloads different programs automatically, like a Trojan.Downloader that pushes ad-supported programs, like the 30tab.com one, for example.

The web page itself is suspicious by nature for a search engine and does hot even feature an HTTPS encryption – something which is highly untypical for search engines and most hoax search engines prefer it, because it allows them to track different information openly and even opens up your computer to various security threats, like exposing the information you type in the search engine itself. • Other types of advertised content.
