Tuguu is a company that is specialized in the development, commercialization and monetization of software products and web portals. is an affiliate platform developed and ran by Tuguu. The purpose of DomaIQ is to generate maximum revenue for Tuguu’s affiliate partners.

DomaIQ Threat Behavior

Many users have reported having the DomaIQ – Tuguu Slu application installed on their systems without their initial approval. Even though the PUP is not malicious, users often refer to it as a virus because of its aggressive behavior. Once installed, DomaIQ inserts advertisements in the browser and collects relevant user information.

Being a monetization platform, it’s not surprising that the PUP is generally distributed through bundling. It may have been brought to your PC via a modified installer. As pointed out by security researchers, the software is included in numerous bundled installers of the company’s affiliate partners.

Furthermore, DomaIQ will also add free additional software recommendations. If the user is not being careful enough, he would end up having an unknown number of potentially unwanted applications running in the background of his system.
Because the sole purpose of the software’s creation is quick monetization of profit, users should keep in mind that non-PII and PII may be collected from them. Non-personally identifiable information is related to the user’s browsing activities and habits, including:

Personally identifiable information is any information that can be used to identify the user, such as:

→Username, name, email address, website credentials, IP address, etc.

Third parties often claim that they need these details to improve their services. However, such details are typically sold to digital marketers to display relevant advertisements and generate pay-per-click revenue.

DomaIQ Removal Options

Users have found it difficult to uninstall the PUP manually. A possible solution has been shared by a user on Answers.Microsoft:

→Open windows explorer, Navigate to C:\Windows – Locate the folder DomalQ and open it – right click on DomalQ uninstall – Select run as administrator.


Since the application is bundled with a range of software products, its complete uninstallation may require the uninstallation of the primary software. To do that, users will have to use an anti-spyware scanner to detect any possible threats.


Whenever you intend to download a software product, make sure to investigate its Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, EULA (End Use License Agreement), and/ or Download Agreement. Any recommended software products should be listed and described in the small print. Step 1: Remove/Uninstall DomaIQ by Tuguu SL in Windows

Here is a method in few easy steps to remove that program. No matter if you are using Windows 8, 7, Vista or XP, those steps will get the job done. Dragging the program or its folder to the recycle bin can be a very bad decision.   • This will open a window with all the programs installed on the PC.
    Select the program that you want to remove, and press “Uninstall” (fig.3).

    Follow the instructions above and you will successfully uninstall DomaIQ by Tuguu SL.

    Step 2: Remove DomaIQ by Tuguu SL from your browser

    Start Mozilla Firefox Open the menu window


    Select the “Add-ons” icon from the menu


    Select DomaIQ by Tuguu SL and click “Remove


    After DomaIQ by Tuguu SL is removed, restart Mozilla Firefox by closing it from the red “X” in the top right corner and start it again.

    Start Google Chrome and Open the drop menu


  • Move the cursor over “Tools” and then from the extended menu choose “Extensions

  • From the opened “Extensions” menu locate DomaIQ by Tuguu SL and click on the garbage bin icon on the right of it.

  • After DomaIQ by Tuguu SL is removed, restart Google Chrome by closing it from the red “X” in the top right corner and start it again.
  • Start Internet Explorer:

  • Click “‘Tools’ to open the drop menu and select ‘Manage Add-ons’

  • In the ‘Manage Add-ons’ window, make sure that in the first window ‘Add-on Types’, the drop menu ‘Show’ is on ‘All add-ons’

    Select DomaIQ by Tuguu SL to remove, and then click ‘Disable’. A pop-up window will appear to inform you that you are about to disable the selected toolbar, and some additional toolbars might be disabled as well. Leave all the boxes checked, and click ‘Disable’.


    After DomaIQ by Tuguu SL has been removed, restart Internet Explorer by closing it from the red ‘X’ in the top right corner and start it again.

    Start Safari

    Open the drop menu by clicking on the sprocket icon in the top right corner.

    From the drop menu select ‘Preferences’
    In the new window select ‘Extensions’
    Click once on DomaIQ by Tuguu SL
    Click ‘Uninstall’


    A pop-up window will appear asking for confirmation to uninstall DomaIQ by Tuguu SL. Select ‘Uninstall’ again, and the DomaIQ by Tuguu SL will be removed.

    Step 3: Remove DomaIQ by Tuguu SL automatically by downloading an advanced anti-malware program.

    To clean your computer you should download an updated anti-malware program on a safe PC and then install it on the affected computer in offline mode. After that you should boot into safe mode and scan your computer to remove all DomaIQ by Tuguu SL associated objects.
