Shopper-Pro(.)com – Delivery

Shopper-Pro(.)com is one of the websites that that deliver a ShopperProFull.exe file to spread the malware. With such direct downloads or third-party installers, the adware is being distributed deeper. Unknowingly, you may install it along with freeware installer setups or bundled packages. Additional components are often selected for installation in these packages by default. Averting can be done if you find a Custom or an Advanced menu and deselect them while installing.

Shopper-Pro(.)com could be promoted in various other sites with links or adverts hosted on them. You should avoid visiting unknown websites or clicking on ads, especially pop-ups. Because that is one of the easiest and effective ways the adware can be spread. The affected browsers are usually Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari.

Shopper-Pro(.)com – Closer Inspection

Shopper-Pro(.)com is one of the websites for the adware platform of the same name. The website offers a direct download. The download will not automatically execute, but you can install it. That is not a recommended action as it will put lots of files related to the unwanted application on your computer. Other sites might host such files for download as well.

STF-shopper-pro-com-ads-download-button-adware-alternate-page

Shopper-Pro(.)com is the main domain connected to the adware, as there are other variations of the site, such as rep.shopper-pro(.)com seen above. It looks the same as the main site, but this time, there is a download button instead of a direct download. It is shocking of thinking how many of these sites can exist.

Apart from downloads and ads, you can get redirected to lots of sites. The redirects will not only ruin your browsing experience but very possibly will slow down your computer.

Here is a snapshot of the VirusTotal site with its detections of Shopper Pro redirects:

STF-shopper-pro-com-ads-adware-virustotal

If you have the adware installed or any related files on your computer and browser, you will start noticing tons of advertisements and message boxes on almost all browser pages you visit. An extension or add-on connected with Shopper-Pro could be set inside your browser software. Everything that is related to the Shopper-Pro platform will spam you with adverts. The ads could have the following text written in them:

  • Ads by Shopper-Pro(.)com
  • Ad by Shopper-Pro(.)com
  • Advertisement by Shopper-Pro(.)com
  • Advert from Shopper-Pro(.)com
  • Powered by Shopper-Pro(.)com
  • Brought to you by Shopper-Pro(.)com

All redirects could lead you to affiliated sites or partners of Shopper-Pro(.)com. The services of Shopper-Pro and its adware platform make revenue for their owners. The redirects are most likely bound to a pay-per-click basis. All kinds of advertising content can be witnessed from the adware. That content could be pop-unders, pop-ups, in-text-links, interstitial, transitional, banner or full-page adverts.

STF-shopper-pro-com-ads-adware-privacy-policy

The Privacy Policy of Shopper-Pro(.)com, as seen above in the picture is short. The policy is very evasive of what kind of personally-identifiable information will be gathered. One thing is certain – the services and websites related to Shopper Pro will collect information about you that is both personally and non-personally identifiable.

Information that is clearly stated in the Policy to be collected is:

  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • Your interaction with the websites
  • The pages you read
  • Your physical and Email addresses
  • Movement from page to page
  • Time and date of access
  • Your web request
  • Browser information
  • Geographical location

Cookies and other tracking technologies are used by the adware and sites. Surely, they can collect more information from you, and if we judge by the content of the sites, some of the information can be credit card credentials. You will see personalized advertising content partially because of cookies as well. All data may be shared with third parties. You should remove this awful adware as soon as possible.

Remove Shopper-Pro(.)com Completely

To remove Shopper-Pro(.)com manually from your PC, follow the step-by-step removal instructions given down below. In case the manual removal does not get rid of all adverts and redirects effectively, you should search for and remove any leftover items with an advanced anti-malware tool. Such a program will keep your computer safe in the future.
