Underline Hijacker
Underline is the name of a strange browser extension that can alter the main settings in the browser and force it to show a hoax search engine on the homepage, default search engine setting, and every new tab page.
Commonly used web browsers may get affected by the Underline browser extension. Such a type of infection is defined as a browser hijacker. Its appearance in the browser is often unexpected while all modifications it applies are unwanted.
The purpose of all redirects by Underline to the suspicious domain bbbn.xyz and then to websearches.club is to convince you to use suspicious searching services. This, in turn, enables fraudsters to obtain certain details about your online behavior. You may be presented with bogus sponsored content as a result.
The sooner you check the security of your system and ensure that no suspicious or potentially harmful files are running on it the better.

What is Actually Underline?
Underline is a bogus browser extension that once installed on a browser start pushing it to load ureliable search engines. The first search engine it opens is hosted on the domain bbbn.xyz. This fake search engine redirects to another hijacker called websearches.club. Websearches.club, in turn, is a hijacker managed by third bogus program called s3arch.page.
Such browser rediredt loops may be very dangerous because certain malicious scripts may be activated to enable fraudsters:
- Obtain data;
- Install additional unwanted programs;
- Make you visit phishing pages and corrupted sites;
- Drop tracking technologies such as cookies, web beacons, scripts, etc.
All these annoying redirects during your online browsing occur after the unnoticed installation of the potentially unwanted program – Underline. This browser hijacker may have landed on your device by being included on the installer of software you consciously downloaded and installed.
One of the main goals of this type of apps is to monetize its access to affected browsers and computers. That’s why they tend to deliver various types of adverts – sponsored search results, banners, pop-ups, redirect pages, new browser windows, etc.
Once your online interests are familiar to Underline’s owners, which happens via a process of unsolicited data collection, they may configure their hijacker to deliver targeted advertisements.
Beware of all these ads. For the sake of your online security refrain from visiting questionable ads, using services of hoax search engines, and installing freeware.
