WAPageViewer has been classified as an ad-supported program and PUP (potentially unwanted program). Once WAPageViewer has sneaked into the user’s system, it may start generating advertisements not related to the visited pages. Interacting with them may also be considered unsafe since it may redirect the user to sites employed for social engineering scams (phishing and such).
If you notice ads saying ‘brought by WAPageViewer’ or something like that, you should consider scanning your system.
WAPageViewer Distribution and Description
The application is most likely distributed via bundling. As we have explained many times, bundling is a legal method of distribution. When one product is being bundled with another product, the agreement between the two parties should be described in the Download Agreement, EULA or Terms of Use. Nonetheless, the user will need to go through these documents and examine the terms. Keep in mind that bundled products are often promoted as ‘recommended’. Thus, to avert downloading them by default, just go for the advanced/custom option.
WARNING
Silent and unattended bundled downloads can take place as well. To stay protected against potentially unwanted installations, sustain an AV solution. In addition, you can enable the Windows Firewall, and improve your browser Security settings.
WAPageViewer Removal Options
The most secure way to deal with adware is via professional assistance in the face of an AV program or a security expert. You may wonder why. Since applications such as WAPageViewer are primarily distributed via bundling, you can never be sure what kind of software has entered your PC. Thus, scanning it automatically is the best option to determine the threats running in the background.
However, if you feel confident enough and want to try removing WAPageViewer yourself, you can follow our removal guide.

Here is a method in few easy steps to remove that program. No matter if you are using Windows 8, 7, Vista or XP, those steps will get the job done. The proper way to get a program off your computer is to Uninstall it. To do that:
Select the program that you want to remove, and press “Uninstall” (fig.3).
Follow the instructions above and you will successfully uninstall WAPageViewer.

After WAPageViewer has been removed, restart Internet Explorer by closing it from the red ‘X’ in the top right corner and start it again.
Open the drop menu by clicking on the sprocket icon in the top right corner.
From the drop menu select ‘Preferences’
In the new window select ‘Extensions’
Click once on WAPageViewer
Click ‘Uninstall’
A pop-up window will appear asking for confirmation to uninstall WAPageViewer. Select ‘Uninstall’ again, and the WAPageViewer will be removed.
