NiceNFree is adware designed to display pop-ups which, when clicked, generate traffic revenue for the third party advertising agencies behind these ads.

How Does NiceNFree Work?

NiceNFree is compatible with the most widely used browsers – Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. Although NiceNFree is advertised as a browser extension that helps you save money by displaying coupons for sites you are visiting, it actually does more harm to your system than good. It enters your system uninvited and starts showing you advertisements of coupons, banners, underlined keywords and pop-ups on the web pages you visit.

These ads could be quite annoying and worst of all – you have no way of disabling them regardless of how hard you try to close them. In fact, clicking any of them may redirect you to corrupted websites that could infect your system with serious malware.
You know you have been infected by NiceNFree when:

  • The pop-up ads say ‘brought to you by NiceNFree,’ ‘Powered by NiceNfree,’ ‘Ads by NiceNFree,’ ‘You’ve received a premium offer from NiceNFree.’
  • Random web page text is turned into hyperlinks.
  • Pop-ups recommending fake updates and software appear.
  • Additional unwanted programs get installed on your PC.

How Does NiceNFree Enter Your System?

NiceNFree enters your system just like most PUPs (potentially unwanted program) do – via bundling. You download a free program from the Web to which NiceNFree is bundled. The only way to know that, however, is to watch the installation process closely. You are given the option to opt out from it, but most users miss doing so.
In order to protect your system from unwanted programs, you must disable the options and settings you know nothing about, and aim for custom installation rather than accepting the default or recommended one.

How Do You Remove NiceNFree?

NiceNFree is not malicious, but it does put your system at risk. We, therefore, recommend that you remove it immediately – to save yourself a whole lot of hassle.
Make sure you use a legitimate anti-malware tool that would fully clean your system.
