Price Fab Ads Distribution Method

Most cases scenario is the user downloaded the PUP alongside another free application chosen from the Web. Skipping the advanced installation option is the most often cause for such downloads, dubbed ‘bundled’ for a reason. Bundling of free software is applied by programmers so that they could cover financial losses during development. No matter how tricky bundling may seem, users willingly download additional apps just because they never read the EULA and directly proceed towards automatic installation. The ‘advanced’ option gives the user the right to deselect anything unwanted.

Price Fab Description and Potential Risks

As a typical adware program, Price Fab is not malicious by character. However, it may be described as intrusive and even annoying. Numerous pop-ups, in-text ads and banners may be encountered during browsing and thus interfere with the user’s normal activities. He may even notice random texts on regularly visited pages turned into hyperlinks. Clicking any of the supported by Price Fab content may lead him to malicious webpages where malware is usually distributed.

Another common risk brought by adware programs is the addition of tracking cookies to the browser. That is when adware turns into spyware. Tracking cookies will follow the user while he is browsing and harvest sensitive information. Browsing histories, search queries, and website credentials may be exposed as a result.
