Study HQ Toolbar General Description
As a matter of fact, any software that changes the browser default settings can be regarded a browser hijacker. Browser hijacking is a slippery slope since in most cases it is not an illegal act. Users often download suspicious third party software (hijackers included) by mistake – by simply skipping the Download Agreement. Another popular mistake among users is executing automated downloads. Always opt for the custom/ advanced software installer to avoid unwanted downloads.
To be more precise, executing custom installation doesn’t necessarily mean that third parties won’t get access to the system. Many developers may choose to use a silent or unattended installer to spread their software. For more information, you can refer to this removal article.
Furthermore, Study HQ Toolbar and other products by Mindspark may be integrated and bundled with other third party services or/ and content. This means that the toolbar may have been downloaded along another free product, because it was included in its installation package.
Study HQ Toolbar Removal Options
If the user hasn’t downloaded the application by choice, it is clear that it sneaked into his system in a suspicious manner, be it bundling or silent/ unattended installers. Thus, scanning the system may be required to determine if any riskware is located in the system’s directories.
On the other hand, if the toolbar was installed willingly but the user has just decided he doesn’t need it anymore, following the uninstallation steps provided by the publisher can be tried. Additionally, our team has compiled a removal guide that is easy to follow.
