TremendousCoup is a legitimate application similar to LowPricesApp and RocketSaler that is classified as a PUP (potentially unwanted program.) TremendousCoup is supposed to enhance the user’s online shopping experience and help him save money by displaying different coupons and discounts. However, this useful functionality is outweighed by the application’s ability to serve targeted advertisements in the web pages the user visits, collect certain data on the affected machine and install in a stealth manner. Experts recommend the removal of TremendousCoup to prevent further security issues.

How Is TremendousCoup Distributed?

A variety of applications enter the user’s PC bundled with freeware like media players and program updates. Their installation may have different consequences for the affected system, the most common one of them – marketing materials flooding the user’s browser. Experts recommend selecting the Advanced options every time you install new software on your computer because they disclose all checkboxes. This way you can un-tick any additional programs you do not want on your computer.

How Does TremendousCoup Operate?

Once installed, TremendousCoup inserts a variety of third party advertisements in the websites the user visits. These only aim to generate profit for their authors and boost the web traffic of the promoted web pages. Please, note that if you click on the presented banners, coupons and pop-up ads you may land on a website with questionable content and expose your system to risk.

The presence of adware and potentially unwanted programs on a computer is often associated with system slowdowns and browser redirects to suspicious sites.

Data Collection

TremendousCoup may track certain data for the purposes of targeted advertising. Such can be IP address, browsing history, visited web pages, performed searches, etc. If you provide personally identifiable information, it may also get collected.
