SongLyrics may be described as an application that generates lyrics for the videos you are watching for karaoke purposes. Even though it serves its purpose, the app may obtain information from you. Collected user data is often given to affiliates or sold to third party digital advertisers.
The longer SongLyrics is running, the more vulnerable your browser and system will be.
SongLyrics Distribution Path
The application may be promoted on various freeware pages or may have a download button on its official website. However, most cases scenario is that the application cannot be downloaded from there. Thus, it is mostly distributed in the installers of freeware and shareware products.
This is what usually happens: by opting for the automatic installer, the user deprives himself of the opportunity to uncheck additional software. Other software is typically listed as ‘recommended’ and is optional. Thus, always opting for the custom installation option is what the user should have done in the first place.
However, being careful when going through the software installer may not be enough. Many third party developers decide to use silent or unattended bundlers. Silent bundling means that the user will not be notified of additional software. Unattended bundling doesn’t require user interaction at all.
What you can do is always research free software prior to installing it on your PC.
