Facebook is one social media site which is used by billions of people on a daily basis. In fact, Facebook is so popular that if you haven’t heard of the word internet, you haven’t heard of the social media site as well. But with so much power comes great responsibility and Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg have learnt this the hard way. Step 1: Tap on the ribbed icon on top of your Facebook app and locate Settings and Privacy.
Step 2: From Settings and Privacy, locate Settings and then Tap on It.
Step 3: After you have managed to get into the Settings menu, make sure that you locate “Your Facebook Information” and if you do, tap on Download Your Information as seen underneath:

As soon as you are done, tap on “CREATE FILE”. Facebook will have you wait until the service archives the information you want and sets it up as a .zip archive ready to be downloaded.
Step 6: Download the archive when it’s ready. When the archive is done, you will receive the following Facebook notification:

Conclusion
Be advised that Facebook does store a lot of information about you, and if you feel concerned, the service allows you to delete your Account together with your information, but it takes several weeks time to fully do this. So if you find messages that you do not want Facebook to see or you have simply decided to break up with Facebook and you want everything gone, you can do that by erasing your Facebook profile from the very same Settings menu you have downloaded your information from.
