Hi. I have this virus and what I tried was to check for any Safari extensions which I don’t want or need. There were none. Then completed a Safari browser reset and restarted my Mac. But the virus was still there. Finally, I completed a deep scan and the program found one threat which I resolved and that helped me to get rid of the virus.
I have the same problem but I didn’t find any “profiles” section on System Preferences. I have a new Macbook Pro by the way.

Did you try to find any suspicious Safari extensions?
Open Safari, go to the menu bar and click Safari. Select Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn OFF all extensions, quit the browser and relaunch it to test. If that helped, start turning the extensions one by one and relaunch Safari every time to test which one is problematic. When you find the unwanted extension click uninstall and relaunch the browser once again.

I can’t find the app I have to remove. I checked the apps in all user profiles and there were 2 items that I removed because they were somehow suspicious. There were “no extensions”. It seems that you say that I should change my IP address if they got my information, right? How exactly can I do it without paying, because I called my internet provider and they told me that I should pay for something known as “real” ip address. How can I ask them to change it?
