MacEntizer PUP – Spread and Impact

MacEntizer is presented as an advanced system optimizer that is able to fix various errors, manage cache, uninstall unused apps, and eventually make your Mac faster. Once installed on a Mac device MacEntizer activates a scan process. At the end of this process, the program usually claims that several issues were detected on your Mac.

However, it’s worth mentioning that MacEntizer like many other PUPs that affect Mac users –

Mac Tonic, Mac Clean Pro, Mac Auto Fixere, generates non-existent issues and false results. These misleading results seem to be a prerequisite for the completion of its main goal. The main goal of this program is to trick you into purchasing its full version in order to become able to fix all “present” issues.

In fact, if you have illogical behavior on your MacOS or experience slow-downs they may be associated with the presence of MacEntizer. So it is recommendable consider scanning your Mac with legitimate security software and see if you can find the cause of all these issues.

As of the spread of potentially unwanted programs like the discussed one, it is often realized via software bundles and freeware packages. So you may have installed the program during the installation of a desired program. This nasty side effect usually occurs as a result of improperly disclosed information about added extras in apps’ installers. The good news is that the help of the Advanced/Custom configuration step may enable you to detect the presence of added PUPs and eventually prevent them from accessing your computer.
