Ordinypt is a destructive wiper malware that works in a way similar to ransomware. Ordinypt, previously known as HSDFSD ransomware, is once again targeting German users in a spam campaign using a fake job application. Recipients of the dangerous email will see an email supposedly sent by “Eva Richter” in which a photo and a resume are attached. Of course, the resume is a malicious file masqueraded as a PDF that is set to destroy the victims’ files.
Ordinypt demands a ransom to be paid but paying won’t restore anything as the files are overwritten and they can’t be decrypted.

Ordinypt Wiper Malware (Ransomware) – Distribution and Technical Details
The dangerous wiper is currently being distributed in a spam campaign targeted against German users. The spam emails appear to be sent by an “Eva Richter” and contain a photo and a fake resume masqueraded as a PDF, which is in fact the malware installer.
Once the file is executed, Ordinypt will flash the screen in various colors and will then start encrypting the victim’s files just like a ransomware. However, the difference is that once touched by the wiper, the files can’t be restored in any way. Still, the malware will demand a payment and instruct the user to go to a Tor site to pay and get the decrypter.
Most of Ordinypt’s instances found in the wild are also set to delete the Shadow Volume Copies of the infected machine. Windows recovery is disabled as well. However, you may have been lucky and your Shadow Volume Copies may have been spared. If that’s your case, you can try to restore your files.
Once these operations are finished, the wiper will put a ransom note named [extension]_how_to_decrypt.txt in each folder on the system, where instructions for alleged decryption are located. Following these instructions will not do anything as the wiper has already destroyed the victim’s data.
Here’s what the ransom note used by Ordinypt wiper says:
