SignalBalance Mac Adware – More Information
The primary distribution tactic of SignalBalance may be done via software bundling. This is what we call when a third-party app is added to the setup of another free software downloaded from the web, like media player, torrent downloader and other apps. There, in the install steps of those apps, SignalBalance may be advertised as a “free extra” or an “optional offer” and the opt-out option may be extremely easy to miss, especially if you fast-click your way through the setup of the app you are installing.
Whichever the case of SignalBalance being on your Mac may be, one scenario is certain – you are in for a lot of headaches if it lands on your Mac. SignalBalance is not directly hazardous for your Mac, but it may display the following ads, that may sometimes be risky for it:
- Highlighted text ads.
- Ad-supported search results.
- Pop-ups.
- Banners.
- Redirects.
The websites to which these advertisements may take you to could vary from sites that are scam and phishing sites all the way to virus URLs that may directly infect your mac with malware. This is the main reason to consider removing SignalBalance from your Mac.
