The malicious file may be located in the %AppData% folder, but other support modules may also exist in other directories as well, such as:

  • %SystemDrive%
  • %LocalRow%

Once the virus has dropped the files, it will use the code of WinRar to archive the files on the computer. Amongst the affected files are:

  • Microsoft Office documents.
  • OpenOffice files.

  • Database files.
  • Pictures and other Image files.
  • Audio files.
  • Videos.
  • Archives.
  • Files associated with often used programs.

After this, the files are located in a .rar archive, looking like the following:

As of latest information, malware researchers have revealed that this ransomware infection uses Jscript, Windows Script Host and VBScript for it’s malicious activity. After an attack by All_Your_Documents.rar ransomware has been conducted, the virus begins to immediately drop it’s payload files:

The virus is very careful as to which folders it skips for encryption. The folders which it excludes from it’s encryption list are the following:
