One of the biggest tech manufacturers, LG, has experienced a major interruption due to the return of the WannaCry ransomware virus.

WannaCry ransomware is back and it has attacked LG this time. The virus has reportedly been already patched by Microsoft and even older Windows XP systems were patched. However, reportedly LG may have not updated their systems with the fixes for the zero-day exploits used by WannaCry ransomware virus.

We cannot understand for sure how many LG systems were compromised by the ransomworm, however a kiosk has been reported to be affected.

Thankfully LG had set up system backup and they were able to restore all of their files in approximately 48 hours. It is believed so far that the computers of the company who were infected by the virus were not updated with the latest updates .

The WannaCry virus has attacked many home users as well as enterprises and hackers managed to Withdraw more than $150000 dollars without being tracked by the authorities.
