OptiSpeed – How Did I Get It and What Does It Do?
The main way via which OptiSpeed could have landed on your machine is likely software bundling. This means that the program may be included in the installation wizards of other programs. There it may be advertised as an “Optional offer” or a “Free extra” to your installation. It is not usually easy to opt out of OptiSpeed either, because the software could be hidden in one of the install steps of the “Advanced” or “Custom” installation modes of another free app you may have downloaded from a third-party site.
Once Opti-Speed is installed on your computer, it may begin to appear like the following:
The software could detect a lot of different types of errors that may trick you that there are severe risks on your computer which should be removed right away. To remove them, OptiSpeed wants you to get its full version. If you are offered the full version, it is reccomended not to upgrade to it. The main reason for that is the possibility of you being enrolled in an automated payment scheme that may take money from your account each year to automatically renew your OptiSpeed license even if you have deleted the program.
Not only this, but also OptiSpeed could cause more harm than good to your computer. This is because the automated scans and pop-ups of this program could slow your PC down and could take up unnecessary CPU or RAM from your PC. This could be done to create an atmosphere of your PC being slower than usual – only one more reason why they want you to get the full version of OptiSpeed.
